July 4th (bill of rights)

I think that the Bill of Rights is necessary because without it we wouldn't have a democratic government. Monarchy would rule over us, and no one would have equal rights. These amendments let people speak freely, and give each other human equalities. This affects me because I have the freedom of civil liberty. If I lived in a monarchy, I wouldn't be granted equal rights as other people around me. Depending on my wealth and ranking, I would either be disgraced or praised. With the Bill of Rights, everyone is equal and no one would have more power than the other.

WEEK 3 :D

Well 1st of all, HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!! ;D haha

The Bill of Rights was added to the Constitution because people feared that the Constitution as drafted would give the central government too much power and allow them to be tyrannic. When added, the Bill of Rights protected the rights of individual citizens. Years ago, that was the case, and to this day, that is STILL the case. The Bill of Rights is necessary to ensure the equality of everyone under the U.S. government. One of the 1st ten amendments is the right to keep and bear arms (2nd amendment). This amendment has been challenged many times in history but without it, we would not be able to keep weapons, not even for our own protection! What if robbers entered a house and were able to take whatever they wanted because the owners weren't allowed any weapons to defend their house with? That wouldn't be very fair now would it? >:( but don't worry, the 2nd amendment DOES allow us to keep and bear arms so haha three cheers for the BILL OF RIGHTS! ;)

For this week, I want you guys to use 4th of July as your inspiration. Take on the of the rights from the Bill of Rights and tell me why it is still necessary today. All of these rights have been challenged since the founding of our country, so you should have plenty of support.

Oooo!! I found this interesting article on BANNING SUPER SKINNY MODELS! :O i hope they do because i have a few friends who are CRAZZYYY about their weight and stuff! -__-+ hopefully, banning SUPER THIN models will make the less fortunate people ( like me T^T) feel better :)

WEEK 3

Bottled Water(week 2)

People in US buys about half of a billion bottled water each week which is enough to circle the globe five times! It also cost more 2000 more times than tap water. In my own opinion, it is just a waste making water bottles because oil is needed to make water bottles, that is enough oil and energy to fuel one million cars in US.

A: It is a waste of energy and oil

Week 2 prompt

The thing that caught my attention in the videoclip THE STORY OF STUFF wasI that, 2000 trees in the Amazon will be cut down every minute. This suprized me because that I did not know that this much trees has been cut down in such a short time. I think that people

Secondly, what caught my attention most in the videoclip THE STORY OF BOTTLED WATER is that most of the bottled water we buy is just filtered tap water. This shocked me, before I thought that bottled water is a higher class water, but the videoclip altered my thought. I think the companies that are sell bottled water as tap water should stop lying to the people who buys bottled water. This will make people angry if they find out.
